TorAlarm GmbHiOS Developer
Mar. 2019 - Nov. 2022Düsseldorf, GermanyDuring my time at TorAlarm, I had the privilege to rewrite the whole app from scratch and organize the project and code as per MVVM design pattern. It took 1 year to rewrite it, test it thoroughly, while still bug-fixing and maintaining the old code at the same time.
During my time at TorAlarm, I was the sole iOS engineer around 80% of the time, with small intervals when other engineers were joining and leaving due to various reasons.
Here I've learned multiple very custom and sophisticated integrations for ads, odds, different SDKs needed for the marketing team, etc. Everything had to be customer oriented and with best performance possible, optimised for iPad, watch extension, widgets, even offline mode and other cool stuff.
After the app rewrite, the crash-free rate was always close to 100%, mainly between 99,0% to 99,9%, with short episodes when it could go down to about 96%, but then rather rapidly fixed the bug and release a new version.
The app was constantly verified for memory leaks, battery usage, app size optimization, and other parameters for best performance possible.
Overall, a great experience and a good career growth at TorAlarm.
