Jan. 2014 - Nov. 2019Monroe, MII started working for Tenneco Automotive as a Supply Chain Manager in Reynosa, was promoted to Sr. Materials Planning & Logistics Director in Celaya, and then moved to Corporate HQ in Detroit to oversee plant transitions for low cost achievements. I provided oversight for all General Motors North America Production platforms globally across 4 manufacturing Plants to ensure exceptional fill rates and OTD. I interacted with General Motors Product Development Team and SQE’s any specific change or update to the platform in production. To achieve great fill rates and OTD, I oversaw all of General Motors North America's production platforms internationally across 4 manufacturing facilities. When the production platform underwent any specific changes or updates, I engaged with the SQE team and the General Motors Product Development Team. I collaborated with the Manufacturing Plant Launch Managers in directing programs as well as aligning the staff at engineering, sales, finance, quality and purchasing. Moreover, I performed CAPEX review along with Board of Directors Program Launch Readiness review on a monthly basis. Key Achievements: • Led successful transition of 2 manufacturing plants from USA to China and Mexico within budget and timing of 24 months, enabling the company to save $150MM USD within the next 3 years. • Attained 30% supplier rationalization, yielded yearly savings of $280M, and increased delivery performance to customers to fulfil 100% and OTD higher than 96%. • Slashed Premium Freight expenses from overseas suppliers by implementing an effective plan for every shipment filling the pipeline to avoid supply chain disruption. • Championed a new approach to unit cost measurement, standard costing, and reporting; successfully achieving record revenue and profit for the region with $50M+ in cost reduction & consistent cost control, and an outstanding leadership team.
