Dec. 2017 - Aug. 2019ErbilMedia and Communications Coordinator (December 2017 – July 2019) ▪ Lead and supported in producing high quality communication materials for global campaigns (i.e. Protecting Children in Conflict, Stop War on Children and Let’s Protect Them Campaigns) ▪ Produced Country Strategic Plan communication materials with Senior Management team – materials were used as reference by country and regional leadership ▪ Designated as OIC Advocacy, Media and Communications Manager and represented the department in the Senior Management Team meetings as well as Extended Senior Management Team meetings on several occasions ▪ Equipped the country and field teams with the capacity to collect content independently while observing proper language, branding and Child Safeguarding (CSG) protocols are followed. With this, the Iraq country office was able to support the global/regional offices, donors and members collectively and on different platforms ▪ Developed standard operating procedures in content gathering which provided clarity and consistency in information and communication outputs relating to the Iraq country program by introducing the practice of a Terms of Reference (ToR). As a result, proper expectations were set, deliverables became clear, and field teams became more involved. The practice of using a ToR proved to be effective across Global Media Unit, Global Creative Content Unit, Advocacy Media and Communications team and the country Senior Management Team. ▪ Member of the Global Sounding Board and Co-Led Staff Engagement and Internal Communications Task Force for the Iraq Country Office that led into the creation of Staff Engagement Task Force that built strong relationships and enhanced coordination between the head office and field offices. ▪ Hosted 3 successful member CEO visits, few high-level and media visits, and organize major activities/events (i.e. toy distribution to more than 90,000 toys to over 40,000 children across Iraq and MHPSS Report launch).
