May. 2015 - Jul. 2018Chicago Heights, IL- Complete retrofit of an existing Ethylene Oxide (EtO) Scrubber System. Responsibilities demanded application of knowledge gained through previous R & D work. The retrofit project required the replacement of all process components. Design tasks included:
• Pump and pipe sizing, pump skid design, waste tank design, piping layout, reactor tank design, heat exchanger selection, chiller sizing and fabricated containment vessels.
• 3-D CAD modeling of system components and layout. Design and generation of P & ID.
• EPA required EtO removal rate: 99%. Finished system removed 99.98% Ethylene Oxide.
- Design of sterilization chamber weldments. Configuration of weldment components utilizing Inventor iLogic and parameters.
- Development of templates utilizing forms and iLogic to accept user input. Increased productivity through the use of iLogic and parameters.
- Deployed Solidworks and Driveworks in a network environment. Including generation of templates, structure and generation of a standard part library.
- Current design work utilizes Solidworks and Inventor.
