The TopXView is an application used by operators in the traffic control centers for the traffic signalization control, but also for the control and supervision of other systems like ERT(emergency road telephone), video-surveillance and accident detection system, ventilation system, fire alarm system etc. The application was developed using the Win32API. Video Wall Controller application. The application was developed in C++, using the Microsoft SOAP API since the video-wall itself provides an interface defined through *.wsdl files that resides on a dedicated web-server. Traffic Accident Detection System. Implemented a library that communicates with the traffic accident's system. The system consists of cameras on the road and the server application that runs on the PC. The library acts as a client and it was developed using the C++ SDK provided by the manufacturer. Algorithms which integrate traffic systems accident detection and provide automated response on places where security is of highly importance, like tunnels. Toll Station Control application. The application is used by operators who can change pictograms on variable message signs. RS232 communication is used for direct communication with VMSs.

I was a part of the team that developed the “Instructor station”, application that controls
operation of the simulator and the simulation itself. Most of the work consisted of creating new and
modifying existing GUI classes. The Instructor Station was developed in MFC with BCG extension.
• Virtual cockpit, both design and programming. The design was done in VAPS (Engenuity Tech) and Adobe Photoshop. The programming part (C++) consisted of creating an application that
communicates with the virtual cockpit over network using VAPS communication library.
• Virtual terrain design and collaboration in creating visualization system. The terrain database was
created with TerraVista (Terrex). Visualization system has been done with the OpenSceneGraph
library.
• Force feedback system for the simulator's stick and pedals. Since we used Fokker hardware, we have also used their API for this task. The API uses UDP
protocol for communicating with embedded hardware that runs on WxWorks OS.
