MRUProgram Assistant- Financial Services, Supply Chain, and Insurance
Mar. 2009 - May. 2015• Provide support and services to the area of Financial Services, Quantitative Analysis, Supply Chain Management and Insurance. This includes preparation and distribution of agendas and materials for meetings, scheduling of classes, preparing faculty contracts, web page maintenance. • Acquiring and maintaining extensive knowledge of complex and constantly changing information required to perform all duties. Managing multiple and varied priorities and deadlines while also providing prompt and accurate information and services to Chair. • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and familiarity with a wide variety of computer applications. Extensive knowledge of Banner system, FAST and CMS. • Serve as Special Events Coordinator within academic unit including determining various elements of the event such as; creating or arranging information dissemination, organize/ order arrangements for the day of the event (floor plan, food, flowers, programs, etc), complete a post event synopsis for future reference, create event budgets and ensure that expenses are paid to proper FOAP and understanding and use of FAST in respective budget area.
• Well-developed oral and writing skills, ability to communicate effectively with a variety of people. Great interpersonal skills and the ability to asses situations accurately and handle stressful situations. • Responsible for end of year budget procedures including balancing of funds, transfers and adjustments.
• Coordinator between the Canadian Institute of Financial Planning and Mount Royal University. Including the communication of information, administration and organization of CIFP exams.
• Understanding and manipulation of course schedule in order to accommodate course demand and prerequisites
