The firm's clients were diverse, including the European Values Survey, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, USAID, and a host of international development organizations. During the Covid-19 pandemic I designed a recruitment scheme for a demographically representative telephone panel, oversaw recruitment, and designed and weighted multiple surveys which were conducted using this panel while home visitations were not possible. During other times I traveled and presented the results of research to diverse audiences, including clients, the press, and academic conference attendees.

I was deployed aboard vessels fishing out of various ports in Alaska to document fishing effort and collect biological data on species caught, and I delivered the data to the National Marine Fisheries Service office in Seattle.

I also conducted trainings in quantitative sampling methodologies and advised other industry professionals on sample design.

Using Sharon Lohr's Sampling: Design and Analysis I learned how to design public opinion surveys using stratification and clustering, how to select random samples given sampling frame availability and logistical constraints, and how to weight and analyze the data collected. I also spent time standardizing fieldwork protocols, including those for random route selection of households targeted for interview and blind double data entry protocols.
