Jan. 1992California, United StatesA Vocal Embrace is the name of my 33-year-long live performance journey. It all started in the early 1980s. I am a first-generation Filipino-American, born in San Diego, California. In those years, I didn't learn about Filipino roots in public schools. I didn't feel discriminated against. In the 1990s, I relocated to a more diverse location in Southern California. I wanted to build my brand as a Filipino-American. I wanted to shine like Filipino Historian Kirby Araullo and The Filipino Story Community. This journey motivated me to keep growing. Initially, I started singing in a youth choir at church. It gave me a lot of encouragement. And I started performing on different occasions. The key features of my journey are: Singing along to my Top 3 Divas on the radio (Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion) in the 1980s-1990s Later on, I specialised in singing United States patriotic songs (the National Anthem) and other host national anthems of Japan, Italy, and Germany during my active duty military service (2000-2011). Volunteer Live Performance Singer/Emcee (2000 to Present) Vocal Ensemble & Youth Choir Member (1992 to Present) These acting performances boosted my morale. And I wanted to pursue this journey and build a brand for myself. Therefore, A Vocal Embrace is close to my heart. At A Vocal Embrace, I believe in: Entertainment Education Diversity & Inclusivity I bring a unique personal brand. It involves my dreams to gather individuals from diverse backgrounds. And bring them into the limelight in the Western world. Additionally, in my live singing/acting performances, I have been developing modern entertainment techniques. Currently, I perform live in vocal ensembles, choirs, talent shows, weddings, funerals, and military formal/informal ceremonies. Also, I am available for remote performance events.
