EricssonGlobal Program Manager / Team Leader (Ericsson/Nortel)
Apr. 2009 - May. 2013Irvine, CaliforniaAs a Global Program Manager and Team Leader for a premiere account, I led project managers who deployed solutions and programs that ensured profit margins via additional charges to customers: conducted extensive financial reviews and created a business case for cost overruns caused by customer delay. I delivered a 10% cost savings on outsourced products and labor by aggressively negotiating contracts with third party vendors. I provided pre-sales support for quotes including definition and validation of scope of work, services hours, and associated costs, and identified risk and risk mitigation solutions for a wireless network during Ericsson’s acquisition of Nortel, and ensured the project managers followed established processes and exceeded KPIs. One of the key projects I worked on in this position was managing the program that delivered a time sensitive, technical challenging program, which included new standards, DOJ mandates, and SEC and FCC regulations while program managing the integration of an acquired wireless network's voice and data network with a major U.S. wireless provider's existing network. I validated functionality and upgrade methods in internal lab and customer labs, developed patches, and documented key performance indicators (KPIs) pre- and post-upgrade for lab. In keeping with business and regulatory guidance, I conducted project governance/reporting reviews; including Project Financials, Schedule, Issues, Risks, Action Items, and Next Steps in accordance with Regional and Corporate PMO guidelines, which I then presented program performance monthly to Chief Operating Office of Customer Unit for programs. Partnering with the Director of New Sales Development, we brought innovative technology solutions to a U.S. wireless provider’s lab to evaluate feasibility of solutions, developed cost benefit analyses, and the attractiveness of product offering based on the wireless providers long and short-term business goals.
