Managed eleven staff expat, national, and third-country staff. Led the Mission’s response to the 2017 crisis in Rakhine, coalescing humanitarian, transition, and development programming into an integrated assistance package supporting recovery after violent conflict. Led Mission’s strategic reconsideration of programming in Burma, and specifically in Rakhine, in the aftermath of the Rohingya crisis. Led the design, procurement, award, and start-up of $105 million in new activities in one fiscal year, which promoted rule of law and judicial reform, civil society advocacy for reform and independent media strengthening, community engagement in conflict-affected areas, and an analytical support contract. Envisioned and managed absorption of OTI programming into DGHA portfolio, including design and award of new five-year project supporting community empowerment and resilience in conflict-affected areas, modeled on OTI SWIFT task order; and hiring of OTI’s three in-country staff. Served as member of Mission senior leadership team and Staff Care Champion.
