Duties include; • Delivery of all training pathways available to Operations – Award, Accolade, Accelerator, Aspirations, Evolution (levels 1 – 5) & Publican Inductions. These pathways cover job roles from Team Member upwards and includes both internal programmes & blended programmes (e.g. Apprenticeships). • Delivery of Investment training for Capex projects involving AOP (Asset Optimisation Programme) conversions and brand change investments within the Managed division. • Preparing & delivering ‘Train the Trainer’ (TTT) sessions in my specialist areas (e.g. Publican Partners, investment/new team training, systems, learning and development theories, team building, operational excellence) to the wider L&D team. Including; • Administrative responsibilities, including diary management, updating LMS as required and reporting • Delivering both in-person and virtual workshops • Partaking in regular peer-to-peer observations to promote consistent content delivery across training programmes. • Supporting with and signing off project work. • Completing virtual and face-to-face 1-2-1s with learners to ensure understanding of material and adequate support for development is being received at site level. • Refreshing training materials in line with operational requirements. Supporting key stakeholders (e.g. HRBPs) with resolving welfare issues flagged by learners. • Compiling & communicating development data to support Operational partners with succession planning. • Providing ad hoc support for wider L&D pathways - technical support for back of house training sessions, serving as an assessor on exam days for aspiring General Managers. • Working alongside the HR projects team on business-wide projects (e.g. Late-Night Safety Strategy).

We also supported the wider HR function in many different capacities, supporting and coaching the front/back of house career pathways. Also coordinating the integration of new acquisitions, supporting and training GM’s and teams during the conversion process into Stonegate EPOS systems and ways of working.

As part of my progression I undertook the role of designate manager for my region for a period of six months I was responsible for covering general manager holidays and sickness. This experience gave me the opportunity to enhance my management skills as moving between different sites gave me a better insight into how different establishments operate and the inevitable challenges that this brought with it.
