Will work directly with the CDC web manager to create and support specified subject matter areas. Create compelling, creative content that captures target audiences attention. Provide needed information quickly and easily with the goal to influence individual action. Collaborate with health communication specialists, program staff and scientists in researching and developing subject matter content. Develop and repurpose existing public health content into new formats, including the creation of new web pages, downloadable files, infographics, social media messages, and potentially podcast and video scripts. Translate complex science into understandable content for a variety of audiences, in varied formats. Proof and edit content to ensure adherence to CDC standards for accuracy and style. Review and edit program, policy and scientific content to ensure proper format, grammar, style, and tone. Follow CDC journal publication requirements to ensure content adherence. Will work directly with the Associate Director of Science to: Manage the CDC Forecasting Portal. Assist with review and editing of manuscripts and other written material. Assist with tracking of publications and human subjects forms.
