Jan. 2019 - Jul. 2023East AfricaIn this role, I direct overall resource acquisition and grant management operations across nine East African countries, including Burundi, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Sudan, Somalia, Tanzania, and Uganda. In order to improve external engagement, foster positive donor relationships, and administer complete business intelligence, knowledge management, and partnership/consortia negotiation processes, I communicate at all levels of the organization. Utilizing my leadership and organizational skills, I supervise opportunity/bid coordination, manage general and corporate management endeavors, and prepare and execute business development plans. Key Accomplishments: ► Collaborated with multiple donors in global federated organizational structure, acquiring $250-300M total grants. ► Built strong relations with top donors, such as USAID, WFP, South Sudan Pooled Fund, DFID, GAC, EU/ECHO, SIDA, GIZ, KfW, World Bank, UN Agencies, host country Governments, professional/private foundations, global/local companies, and private individuals using excellent skills in acquiring cash grants, gift in kind, food and commodity programming, local income, and private funds. ► Liaised with institutional and private donors to facilitate organization by raising $800M+ in 48 months. ► Led the development and implementation of World Vision International 5-year Grant Acquisition and Management strategy across East Africa since 2019. ► Completed MIT’s Digital Business Strategy Certification to study Mind to Machine, Product to Platform, and Core to Crowd and learn best digital strategy and lexicon practices across partnerships.
