Led the team that launched India's first pure online life insurance product, iTerm in 2009. The plan was the undisputed market leader and a significant contributor to the overall new business premium of the company. The company was recognized as an E-Business Leader three years in a row. Launched new products, kept cost of acquisition (30%) at lowest levels in industry and maintained year on year customer retention at 91% against a budget of 80%.
Took charge of the direct sales channel of the company in 2010 and restructured it from being a struggling channel not able to make budgets into an efficient channel with predictable sales and march towards profitability. Reduced costs, used customer success programs to increase 2nd product sales to 25% and increased retention from 58% to 80%.
Led a complete restructuring of the company in 2012 in the additional capacity Head Talent, reducing the workforce at all levels by 30% and resulting in payroll savings of Rs. 180 million per annum.
Spearheaded the 'Simplicity' project for the company, using digital strategies to significantly reduce wasteful customer interactions and service response time for critical transactions - surrenders, change requests.
