Objective:
To provide support to licensed pharmacists in a pharmacy setting, assisting with dispensing medications, managing inventory, and providing excellent customer service while gaining practical experience and knowledge in the field of pharmacy.
Responsibilities:
* Assist pharmacists with dispensing medications, including counting, pouring, and labeling prescriptions.
* Receive and verify prescription orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
* Enter patient and prescription information into the pharmacy computer system.
* Manage and maintain pharmacy inventory, including ordering, stocking, and rotating medications.
* Answer phone calls, assist customers at the counter, and provide excellent customer service.
* Comply with all pharmacy policies, procedures, and regulations, including HIPAA.
* Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
* Participate in ongoing training and education to enhance knowledge and skills.
Qualifications:
* Currently enrolled in an accredited pharmacy technician training program.
* Knowledge of pharmacy terminology, medications, and dosage forms.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Basic computer skills.
