Aug. 2017In my role as an Educator at Yakima School District #7, I was responsible for creating curriculum plans aligned with CCSS, collaborating with a content level team to develop common assessments, and staying current with best practices in education. As a classroom teacher of 23 years with experience with diverse 9-12 student populations, I have worked in a variety of professional positions beyond the classroom. I assisted in the development of Washington State's alternative assessment, Collection of Evidence. This work included analyzing data, writing scoring annotations, training and monitoring adult scorers. I am also an adjunct at Central Washington University teaching English 101 in the high school. I am trained and experienced in teaching both AP Language and Composition and AP Literature.
