Aug. 2015 - Dec. 2024NicaraguaPRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Process requests for medical services and work with HMH staff to identify the appropriate physician(s) based on information provided by the patient and/or his/her referring physician. 2. Support patients seeking care at HMH and function as the liaison between inquiring patients through the hand-off to the assigned Patient Liaison in Houston and then as needed throughout the period when patients are receiving services as well as with follow-up. 3. Track how and why patients contacted HMH, complete demographics, and maintain detailed notes on all activities so that any member of the Department can provide information as needed on a case. May prepare reports as requested. 4. Maintain sufficient knowledge of HMH and department regulations and policies in order to answer inquiries appropriately. 5. Share patient feedback with staff and, when possible, handle immediately and/or undertake appropriate follow-up action. 6. Participate in departmental meetings and provide recommendations for improved efficiency and service. 7. Assist in the arrangement of conferences, symposia, and other Training and Education related activities to expand the clinical outreach of HMH in NICARAGUA. 8. Provides cross-cultural communication support in areas of medical practice, protocol, business norms and organizational behavior. 9. Perform other job-related duties as required.
