Responsible for all learning and development for Arizona’s 8000-employee social services agency; portfolios included corporate, leadership, and specific business-line learning and development. ● Led 160+ employee training and development team.
● Oversaw OPD operations, including managing a $12 million+ budget
● Ensured the effectiveness of all learning and development for the agency via standards, practices, certification programs, quality control, and program evaluation.
● Conducted strategic planning, continuous improvement (using Lean management principles), analysis, performance measurement, and reporting. Accomplishments
● Implemented Leadership Development Program that includes emerging leader, new supervisor, Advanced Leadership, and Next Level Leadership programs.
● Advanced Leadership Program evaluation of Level 3 and Level 4 data demonstrated 90% improvement in own leader behaviors, 82% improvement in direct report performance; 39% increase in team productivity.
● Seventy-nine team members were part of team awards across the agency.
● Improved trainee job readiness resulting in new hires exceeding quality and timeliness targets within 6 months of hire.
● Implemented LinkedIn Learning, driving an 80% increase in engagement scores relating to support for professional development.
● Increased size of unit to adequately support remit without excess, and reduced total attrition to 8% and regrettable attrition to 3%.
● Improved overall unit employee engagement score by more than 500% and recently the OPD responded with an eNPS of 61.5.
● Improved training quality scores and improved speed to market each year.
● Built data systems to better tell our story through information.
● Converted to Virtual Instructor Led Training, with a resulting increase in Level 1 evaluation scores.
