I manage a team of four full time Safety Advisors and we support the delivery of new community and utility developments, operating within existing Aramco systems and to strict safety management requirements. We have successfully delivered several projects in my time and continue to perform in the top percentiles of KPI’s set for Aramco Project Management Team.
Key Accomplishments:
• Currently directing health, safety, security and welfare compliance across four significant Division projects whilst leading on the ground for a new development of over 1700 villas and infrastructure, including support facilities such as community and Friday mosques. Total project budget over $130M.
• Directed a large scale community housing project in Aramco Ras Tanura Najmah community to provide construction health and safety project management expertise by utilising the vast Aramco management systems.
• Successfully monitored the East Dammam II housing project, which included 773 villa houses; 17, 8 storey apartment buildings; 9 mosques; one hospital/health centre; a school and associated utilities, roads, and gardens.
• Developed safety and health programs, policies and practices to manage Principal Contractors’ in a client role to achieve a safe, healthy and efficient worksite.
Luddon Construction LimitedH&S Manager- Petrochem
Dec. 2012 - Apr. 2015I led complex technical work in wide range of risk management/health and safety disciplines and delivered effective contribution in Contractors’ Safety forums for INEOS and BP at Grangemouth. Supervised the improvement of Luddon management systems, conducted safety and risk management audits, and managed COSHH, LOLER, PUWER compliance. Created new documentation for improved delivery of SMS goals and applied behavioural safety innovations. Key Accomplishments:
• Utilised COMAH industries’ management systems and risk control techniques to Deliver Civil Engineering solutions at Scotland’s major petrochemical facilities, servicing both BP and INEOS in Kinneil, Grangemouth, Finnart, Dalston in Cumbria and on the Forth replacement crossing pipeline works.
• Led and directed H&S civil engineering projects ranging from large scale process safety equipment upgrades to tank base renewals to HV Power system upgrades and new pipe track works.
• Executed extensive operations in EGSP (Enhanced Gas Separation Project) and designed new control room and shoreline operations facility developments for BP. • Performed activities on INEOS power supply infrastructure upgrades at Grangemouth, including deep excavations, culvert installation, piling, shoring, concrete placement and construction with existing process assets.
• Spearheaded new gas supply pipeline H&S process between INEOS and BP and recently the initial stages of the pipeline civils works to enable INEOS to move Shake gas from the docks tank and then to process plants.
• Improved existing company safety management systems and procedures, including addition of Behavioural Science elements. Awarded Gold award by BP Kinneil for contractor safety.
SW GLOBAL RESOURCING LTDOPERATIONS MANAGER
Nov. 2011 - Dec. 2012GlasgowExpertly monitored the recruitment and development process of staff with SWGR and current SQE management team. Led the engineering operations department, which performed various functions including welding, plating, pipefitting, structural steel and NDT services on a labour supply and managed contract basis. Key Accomplishments:
• Controlled the functions of nine departments with a budgeted turnover of in excess of £5Million. Executed extensive works in one year, which delivered a £229,000 net profit for the department.
• Led a team that delivered a hugely successful structural steel repair project on the White Cart Viaduct in Glasgow and project such as maintenance shutdowns on polymer plants; refurbishments of oil refinery chimneys and delivery of construction projects on railways, civils and renewable projects.
• Supported civils and construction contractor Luddon construction with the achievement of their Railway, Achilles ‘Link-up’ qualification and with the successful achievement of Principal Contractor status with Network Rail. Integrated rail management systems into existing 9001; 18001 and 14001 systems.
SWGRSQE & Facilities Manager

Directed management systems and accreditations from zero to completion including ISO9001:2008, ISO14001:2004 & OHSAS 18001:2007; SWGR Principal Contractors’ License (for work with Network Rail); Achilles Link-up audit accreditations and Sentinel scheme management (railway competence management). Key Accomplishments:
• Successfully won high profile contracts including Network Rail Possession Management framework (£6M pa); Network Rail Contingent track labour framework (£5M pa); Network Rail Minor Buildings and Civils North West (£2M pa); year on year preferred supplier to Babcock Rail, Jarvis, and STRC; CEFA safety critical labour supply.
• Led SWGR project alignment with all existing and emerging Network Rail safety and assurance requirements. Steered facility maintenance and upgrades such as Fire, Emergency lighting, M&E and HVAC systems.
