Dec. 2012 - Apr. 2015I led complex technical work in wide range of risk management/health and safety disciplines and delivered effective contribution in Contractors’ Safety forums for INEOS and BP at Grangemouth. Supervised the improvement of Luddon management systems, conducted safety and risk management audits, and managed COSHH, LOLER, PUWER compliance. Created new documentation for improved delivery of SMS goals and applied behavioural safety innovations. Key Accomplishments:
• Utilised COMAH industries’ management systems and risk control techniques to Deliver Civil Engineering solutions at Scotland’s major petrochemical facilities, servicing both BP and INEOS in Kinneil, Grangemouth, Finnart, Dalston in Cumbria and on the Forth replacement crossing pipeline works.
• Led and directed H&S civil engineering projects ranging from large scale process safety equipment upgrades to tank base renewals to HV Power system upgrades and new pipe track works.
• Executed extensive operations in EGSP (Enhanced Gas Separation Project) and designed new control room and shoreline operations facility developments for BP. • Performed activities on INEOS power supply infrastructure upgrades at Grangemouth, including deep excavations, culvert installation, piling, shoring, concrete placement and construction with existing process assets.
• Spearheaded new gas supply pipeline H&S process between INEOS and BP and recently the initial stages of the pipeline civils works to enable INEOS to move Shake gas from the docks tank and then to process plants.
• Improved existing company safety management systems and procedures, including addition of Behavioural Science elements. Awarded Gold award by BP Kinneil for contractor safety.
