I have a fairly eclectic background, but all of it has a hand in who I am today. I studied microbiology with a focus on material genetics. Circumstances had me drop out the final semester of my senior year. I was devastated. However, my faith got me through. I became an EMT for close to a decade to simply help people. After a severe burnout, I took a break of a year or two. I was ready to finally finish my last semester and go on to get my Masters degree. Once again, my health was causing problems. I was diagnosed with grade III breast cancer already in my lymph nodes. During all of that, I was at Fidelity Investments working on my licensure, which I passed!. From terrible, I moved on to Vanguard.
