Feb. 2020 - Dec. 2020As a member of the Senior Management and Head of Clinical Department, provided strategic technical direction to a team of improvement specialists supporting 110 prison facilities in provision of TB and HIV prevention and treatment services to inmates, Kenya Prison staff and their families. Worked in close collaboration with the Kenya Prisons Services, AIDS Control Unit, Directorate of Health Services, and project team to plan, implement, monitor and report HIV Prevention, Care and Treatment activities. With an average annual funding of US $2.0 million, the project closed out in September 2020 after six and a half years of implementation. Key Achievements on this role: • Provided HIV treatment to 9,446 HIV infected inmates, prison staff and their family members • Overall HIV viral suppression rate of 95%. • Provided HIV prevention services to approximately 500,000 inmates, prison staff and their family members • Improved TB treatment success rates to 92% at the end of the project. • Successfully led and coordinated writing of several technical proposals
