Ceres developed a server based Campaign Management application for segmentation, tracking and analyzing retailers’ data in relational databases. In this endeavor my first responsibility was that of Product Consultant on the application and Quality Assurance Team Leader. I was responsible for starting their testing procedures and team from the ground up. This involved introducing the various concepts of testing such as application testing, system testing, integration testing, defect tracking etc. Developing the procedures and documents to go along with that and enforcing their use. Once this team and associated procedures were in place I turned my focus to doing the same thing for a Software Support Center for the product. This initiative was abandoned when Acxiom sold their interest in Ceres to NCR.
