Jan. 2010 - Dec. 2016Singapore, SingaporeMehreen’s first experience on stage was playing the grandmother to the protagonist in her Secondary School musical, Sing to the Dawn, Directed by Loretta Chen. The experience led her to the decision to pursue a career in the theatre. Years later, she enrolled herself in the Diploma in Theatre course in the Nanyang Academy of Fine arts. She graduated with her Diploma in 2013 and then went on to do her BA(Hons) in Theatre Arts, validated by the University of Essex. She has completed her MA in Text and Performance from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, London. Her interests range from acting to directing and Stage management. She is an avid Playwright who has worked on a number of commissioned projects as well. Her professional credits include, Look! Tiger Footprints (Act3 Theatrics), Mama Looking for her Cat (paper Monkey Theatre) and Chestnuts 6.9 as a stage manager (Stages), The Rainbow Fish (LGSI), Teen Kahaniyan (Independant Theatre Pakistan), Sindbad the Sailor (LGSI) During the Course of her studies, she has appeared in a range of pieces including A Streetcar Named Desire (Blanche), Stars in the Morning Sky (Klara), Romeo and Juliet (Nurse), Mourning Becomes Electra (Christine), Viva La Commedia (Pantalone), Widows (Alexandra) and Female Transport (Winnie).
