Dea Redžić (Zagreb, 1983) is a Croatian journalist, editor, columnist, and author of documentaries and in-depth interviews. She gained the widest recognition as the long-time editor of the sports section at Index.hr, where over more than 15 years she helped shape one of the most-read sports media outlets in Croatia and the wider region. She is the author of seminal investigative series on the privatization of GNK Dinamo and sports corruption scandals, as well as deeply intimate personal testimonies from prominent figures in public life. After her tenure at Index, she joined Večernji list, where she conducted acclaimed documentary-style interviews with leading Croatian athletes and sports officials. Professional Career Redžić began her journalism career at Index during a major public trust crisis in Croatian football. Over the years, she built a reputation as a fearless investigative journalist, focusing on the opaque operations of the Croatian Football Federation (HNS) and GNK Dinamo. She was one of the lead authors of the multi-year campaign "Akcija Bojkot" (Boycott Action) against Zdravko Mamić and Davor Šuker, publishing exclusive documents, video footage, witness statements, and on-the-ground investigations. As a result of her reporting, she was personally sanctioned—banned from entering Maksimir Stadium and denied access to the national team. In 2016, the HNS lost a lawsuit against Index, with the court ruling marking a legal precedent in media censorship. The Federation was ordered to pay HRK 230,000 in damages. Redžić subsequently became a symbol of resistance against the closing of public space and repression of independent journalism.
