Jun. 2015 - Mar. 2019Greer, South Carolina• Assists the Terminal Manager in leading three office staff members, five mechanics, four tank-washers and 50 drivers in an effort to transport chemicals and hazardous products via tractor-trailer in an efficient, safe and dependable manner. • Manages accounts payable, payroll, dispatch operations, hiring and new employee training. • Required to be accessible at all times to ensure the well being of drivers, the safety of products being shipped, and quality customer service. • Responsible to be in direct communication to all shippers and consignees via paperwork, emails, and telephone at all times. • Collaborates and communicates with other company terminals to keep maintenance and driver costs low through reasonable asset management, driver management, and planning. • Knowledgeable of the products’ characteristics being shipped in order to know proper loading and offloading equipment and procedures. • Advanced knowledge of DOT regulations including hours of service, equipment requirements, and proper paperwork needed to reduce and inhibit all potential violations. • Directs and leads staff within the terminal assigned, and across all terminals through effective communication and business logic. • Required to lead the execution of resolving emergency issues such as accidents, chemical spills, and injuries.
