IBM Global ServicesDatabase Architect
Sep. 1994 - Mar. 2000I determined and implemented the Database Architecture for a large client server application for the State of California Child Welfare System (CWS) comprising 200+ DB2 tables, 2000+ attributes, 200+ Gigabytes of DB2 storage, and a peak transaction rate of 1,500 transactions per minute. I designed and developed a Data Warehouse/Data Mart solution for CWS system, using Business Objects as a front end, Visual Warehouse to manage the transformations, and DB2 UDB on an AIX platform. I determined and implemented the Database Architecture for a large message queuing application for the State of California, Statewide Automated Welfare System (SAWS). This system is comprised of over 75 tables, 1000+ attributes, 200+ Gigabytes of DB2 storage, and a peak transaction rate of over 2,000 TPM. I designed, modeled, built, and implemented an automated solution to replace a manual network inventory system used by the State of California Health and Welfare Data Center for tracking all of their network and terminal equipment.
