Significant accomplishments include: • Enabled Thermal WRM team to have a better steam injection monitoring and surveillance, and mitigated potential failures through the integration of a steam volume calculation method for each steam injector. • Introduced a remote monitoring capability at South Oman Central Control Room (CCR) through strategic supervision of alarm management and rationalization, Thermal Cluster HMI graphics design, and support to operators. • Led the implementation of a new approach for avoiding oil leaks and spillage in beam pumps which generated $100,000 worth of savings. • Designed and conducted a training program for the team in designing pressure control set-up applicable for PCP wells equipped with downhole gauges. • Earned the Shell Upstream Impact Awards 2016 in recognition of Beam Lift Auto Delivery Evolution (BLADE) application deployment in the South Thermal field which protected units and saved wells from pump failures, enhanced HSE and travel time for operations, reduced operator time for actual optimization by 45 minutes, and accelerated peak oil in CSS production cycle. • Led the Progressive Cavity Pumps Continuous Control Pressure Setup implementation in South Oman fields which enabled Pressure Control Setup (PCS) control to allow the PCP speed to be adjusted based on well/reservoir potential assessed by a measurement from a downhole pressure gauge.
