Other duties included defining, planning, and executing projects with real time applications team involvement, while also providing project interface, control, and automation engineering support to Amal Steam project team. Significant accomplishments include:
• Enabled Thermal WRM team to have a better steam injection monitoring and surveillance, and mitigated potential failures through the integration of a steam volume calculation method for each steam injector.
• Introduced a remote monitoring capability at South Oman Central Control Room (CCR) through strategic supervision of alarm management and rationalization, Thermal Cluster HMI graphics design, and support to operators.
• Led the implementation of a new approach for avoiding oil leaks and spillage in beam pumps which generated $100,000 worth of savings.
• Designed and conducted a training program for the team in designing pressure control set-up applicable for PCP wells equipped with downhole gauges.
• Earned the Shell Upstream Impact Awards 2016 in recognition of Beam Lift Auto Delivery Evolution (BLADE) application deployment in the South Thermal field which protected units and saved wells from pump failures, enhanced HSE and travel time for operations, reduced operator time for actual optimization by 45 minutes, and accelerated peak oil in CSS production cycle.
• Led the Progressive Cavity Pumps Continuous Control Pressure Setup implementation in South Oman fields which enabled Pressure Control Setup (PCS) control to allow the PCP speed to be adjusted based on well/reservoir potential assessed by a measurement from a downhole pressure gauge.

Developed Instrument Index, DCS/ESD I/O List and Instrument Data sheets using SPI-INTOOLS 7.0 for the Expansion Cartagena Refinery Project in Spain. Led DCS configuration (hardware/software) work jobs for utilities and off-site units (Units 467/468: Flare System; Unit 414: Boilers; Unit 606: Spent Caustic; Unit 457: Waste water treatment plant). I was responsible for develop Cause and Effect charts, ESD Logic Diagrams for all these units. My intervention allowed company to reduce man-hours expenditure whilst milestones/deliverables were presented on time.

I developed instrumentation, control and automation design for fully automated two hundred wells: Water Injectors wells based on Electro-submersible pumps (ESP), Water Disposal wells based on Progressive Cavitation Pumps (PCP) and Oil Production wells based on Beam Pumps and PCP. Telemetry and control functions were enabled for operating wells since SCADA System in Central Thermal Facilities. My job included verifies instrumentation and control design; carried out site visits to gather information, and to resolve project related problems, developed work packs and hook-ups, designed automation concept for all oil production and steam injection facilities in Mukhaizna. Supported to Construction Team for enquiries and field queries. Assisted to Project Manager in man-hour coordination and execution strategies with third-parties.
