I am a cybersecurity and privacy professional with a strong background in vulnerability assessments, data protection, and digital governance. I currently serve as a Research Associate at CyLab-Africa (Upanzi Network at CMU-Africa), where I contribute to research projects focused on digital privacy, digital identity, digital policy and fintech security. I have published work on cookie consent and privacy in African websites as well as security vulnerabilities in mobile fintech apps in Africa. My experience includes policy analysis during a TechForward Policy Fellowship with the Africa Centre for Digital Transformation, where I explored cybersecurity and data privacy in Uganda’s digital lending sector. I hold a Master of Science in Information Technology (Cybersecurity) from Carnegie Mellon University and I am certified in CIPT, CEH, and CompTIA Security+. My technical expertise spans penetration testing, threat modeling, mobile and web app security, and regulatory compliance with frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK, OCSF, GDPR, and African data protection laws.
