In support of the Ultimate Urban Circulator (U2C), the Armsdale Test & Learn Facility provides testing of AVs and innovative connected infrastructure technology in a controlled environment. Since the U2C program is the first of its kind to deploy a fleet AVs, several elements must be evaluated to ensure a safe and successful deployment. Beyond vehicle testing and benchmarking, I work with local universities, industry advisory boards, and peers on future workforce development, AV policy, and socialization to help advance the future of autonomous technology. One project I am particularly proud of is our partnership with Duval County Public Schools and the promotion of STEM in the local community. During the school year, our team visits schools for an onsite field trip with our custom designed STEM bus, outfitted with interactive screens, LiDAR display, and WiFi, and one of our AVs to spark some excitement in future generations.
