Jun. 2012 - Jun. 2016Cape Town Area, South AfricaCreative Direction, Creative Strategy & Content Creation In 2015 I headed up the creation of the Gloo Content Lab, a facility that allowed Gloo to easily create their own content on the fly through use of a studio space that was created on the premises. The space construction and equipment was procured and training was set up. This allowed Gloo to move quickly with ideas and they were no longer dependant third party suppliers. During our merge with Ogilvy the lab served as inspiration for the Ogilvy Customer Innovation Lab. Leading these projects with my team we carefully selected new and interesting technologies to to bring into the lab space where we could work on creating exciting customer experiences for our brands. These included conductive paints, Arduino kits, large touch screens, 3D printers, drones, Mynd Play, holograms and virtual reality gear. This exciting space not only inspired staff but also clients as to how special a customer experience could be. Working at Gloo is a wonderful experience and has provided me with so much growth. I enjoyed working with talented industry folk such as Pete Case and Theo Erasmus. Tackling brands like Captain Morgan, Drive Dry, Windhoek, Castle Lager, &Beyond, DSTV, KWV, Audi, Castrol, Virgin Active, Spur, Skip and the Ogilvy International Conference. Highlights include attending the Loeries and conceptualising, creating and shooting KWV R3MIX. Several pitch wins including PEP and Skip (Unilever). I also completed the Dale Carnegie and Mike Booth training courses.
