Mar. 2023Madrid, Community of Madrid, Spain• Led project on designing utility-scale solar auctions in Nigeria; handled all aspects of project delivery, including project management, drafting of reports and presentation of findings to various stakeholders. The project was finalised with a workshop in Abuja during which Simona presented the key insights and recommendations presented to the regulator, the World Bank and other stakeholders. • Led research and production of reports for the “Technologic Innovation Action Plan” project for CFE, the Mexican state-owned utility, including analysis of international trends in renewable energy, case studies of four leading utilities, proposal of an action plan and financing options. • Management consulting work for the restructuring of the WAPP Secretariat, a key institution in the administration of the regional electricity market that comprises 15 African countries. • Production of interim and final reports as well as a feasibility study report for ADB financing for a complex project in Georgia, related to BESS and H2 strategy, as well as implementation of a BESS project. • Interim and final revisions of deliverables for various international projects as well as analytical work (i.e., analysis of energy production and tariffs in Cape Verde). • Demonstrated commercial awareness and technical expertise while drafting successful proposals to win new projects.

Apr. 2022 - Jan. 2023• Development management professional providing project management support for a pipeline of solar energy projects across Europe, reporting directly to the Development Director. • Highly collaborative role, working with 6 country managers to track and report on the progress of projects and coordinate approvals for new projects. • Designed an automated tracker and analysis tool for Cero’s rapidly expanding 10.3 GW portfolio including 146 projects under development, 3 under construction and 5 in operation.
