When I would be working the front desk my duties included answering phone calls, responding to emails efficiently, taking care of clients with their specific patient needs, accommodating ER walk-ins to the best of my ability, scheduling appointments from wellness visits to speciality care (echocardiograms, abdominal ultrasound, surgeries: such as mass removals, TPLOs, neuter/spay, chemotherapy, etc), as well as international travel. When I would be working as a pharmacy technician my duties included daily DEA reports, preparing medication for patients in the hospital as well as picking up refills, handle all online orders (Chewy, Amazon, 1800petmeds, Covetrus, etc), as well as call out to pharmacies for specific medications that we wouldn’t carry or the client would prefer to have it delivered straight to their house, taking care of all medication packages coming in daily and logging them in the appropriate areas, restocking daily, listing low inventory medications on the want list efficiently, and communicating directly with doctors on staff to accommodate the clients needs. I would also when short staffed help technicians with basic assistant work such as animal handling, administering medications (oral/IM/sub-Q), and intakes for procedures.
