Mar. 2004 - Jul. 2015SudanStarted as radio operators in Damazine – Blue Nile state and then promoted to Senior Telecommunication Assistant duty stationed Khartoum within a year. Competencies • Trained over 5,000 staff members from different UN agencies and NGO’s all over Sudan on the right use of VHF and HF radios.
• Installed and programmed radios in more than 19 locations where WFP operators and 34 locations before the separation of South Sudan in 2011; more the 600 + vehicles and over 2,000 VHF handheld radios were programmed.
• Designed the Interagency Security Telecommunication Project which WFP is hosting since July, 2010; the project worth more than 3 million US dollars. • Initiated the address book to the HF radio in all the UN and NGO’s vehicles in Sudan.
• Wrote the Sudan Radio rooms SOP which is still in use to date. • Construction of telecommunication guyed towers installed 27 towers. • Capacity building of the radio operators through periodic visits to the field offices.
• Closely supervised radio room supervisors and radio operators to ensure that the services are delivered in the best possible way.
