In my first season, I was mainly responsible for overseeing the interior team with housekeeping and operations while the Chief Stew attends largely to the owners. The second season, saw me in a far more guest-focused position. We run with a team of four girls, Chief Stew, Laundryman and Purser and have a demanding summer season with the family on board consistently for five months. The service is silver service and the owners have incredibly high standards with particular attention paid to their wardrobes, toiletries and packing. The winter is spent in the yard performing maintenance, inventories etc. I was required to step into the Chief Stew/Purser role for a month while they were both away on leave- running accounts, the interior projects and the interior team. This also happened during the season in 2017, where I covered the Chief Stew while she was away, with a guest trip.
