Aug. 2007– By reviewing information of the Sustainable Development Transparency Index (SDTI) moved Sibanye-Stillwater disclosure from 6th place to 1st place.
– Played a vital role in implementing a new online reporting tool (Workiva) that automated the process of receiving data sets and content for public annual disclosures, ultimately improving accuracy, cross-referencing, and control of input data.
– Obtaining International Council on Mining and Metals (ICMM) membership for Sibanye-Stillwater by learning entire business within a month (soon after maternity leave) and aligning overall processes with ICMM requirements.
– Supporting the development of the annual integrated report that received an award for excellence by Ernst & Young (2020).
– Created a strategy-on-a-page for a nascent ESG department that was well-received and adopted by the company. Further refined the strategy in 2021, to align with the ESG incentive scheme and sustainable development goals.
– Improved MSCI ESG rating agency score for the company within one year (2020/2021) from B to BB by actively completing and updating profiles on various ESG rating agencies. Improvement in all of Sibanye-Stillwater ESG rating profiles, including Sustainalytics, S&P Global, and Bloomberg GEI.
– Supported Sibanye-Stillwater to remain a constituent to the FTSE4Good Index in 2020 and 2021.
– Secured first place in the Sustainable Development Transparency Index (2015, 2016 and 2021), out of 300 Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) listed companies.
– Earned the United Kingdom Public Trust award from PriceWaterHouse Coopers for the outstanding sustainability report in 2015.
– Achieved best performer status on the JSE SRI index for sustainability disclosure (2010, 2011 and 2014).
