Over 18 months, the team worked to transition from a decade-old system to a new one which required examining, evaluating and in some cases, redesigning every step of the patient and clinical experience. I was responsible for helping maintain the existing systems and workflows while working with clinical staff to design the new processes and systems for the entire clinic system, consisting of nine offices. Successes included EPIC interfaces that passed in critical information that was previously manually typed into the Radiation Oncology EMR along with creating instructional guides and digital training for new staff that reduced training time and rework.
