After a big earthquake hit Yogyakarta, she moved to the affected town and worked as an information and communication officer with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent (IFRC) based in Yogyakarta. After the Yogyakarta office was closed in 2008, she continued as the communication and reporting officer at IFRC Jakarta office. In 2011, she moved from IFRC as she started working with Oxfam in Indonesia as a communication officer for a disaster risk reduction project. Since then, she has been doing communication practices for Oxfam and other humanitarian organizations such as Save the Children, Indonesian Red Cross, World Vision Indonesia, WWF-Indonesia, Plan International, and Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF). During her work, she has been collecting, editing, and publishing case studies, stories – photos stories and video (in Indonesian and English), as well as translating documents from Indonesia to English or vise verse. She also has managed events such as workshop and exhibitions. In addition, she has extensive networks with journalists at national and regional levels.
