Mar. 2011 - Mar. 2012EgyptMy role in UNHCR Cairo was to Support the emergency team for the Salloum operation as a supply chain and procurement assistant my responsibilities were • Surveying the market and contacting local suppliers and matching the offers according to UNHCR specifications. • Making competitive bidding to gather quotations, compare prices and issue PO’s to provide refugees in Salloum with all necessary and needed NFI’s with a cost effective price and quality. • Keeping track, filing, recording all supporting documents made to any purchase request. • Evaluation of purchase requests and supplier offers in accordance with available budget and requirements keeping in mind rules and regulations while submitting necessary documents to the committee on contracts.
