John Kusumi is a veteran of 30+ years as a contracting software developer. He began his career as a quantitative marketing analyst, and began professional software development by automating marketing analytics, building DSS (Decision Support System) solutions. He went on to do contract work for Allied Signal, Boeing, CBS News, Citibank, General Electric, Microsoft and NCR (formerly National Cash Register). From 2018-2019, in his second stint as a contractor to Microsoft, Kusumi worked in the pipelines area of Azure DevOps (formerly Visual Studio Team Services). From 2019-2022, Kusumi was Chief Software Engineer for a multi-billion dollar, publicly-traded company (NYSE:EPAM), filling such roles as solution architect, tech lead, and project coordinator, for clients including Thomson Reuters.
