Jan. 2003 - Jan. 2010Forrest General is a not-for-profit tertiary hospital licensed for 537 beds with approximately 3500 employees. FGH is a level two trauma center and acute care referral hospital covering 17 SE Mississippi counties and provides nationally recognized inpatient and outpatient behavioral health programs. The FGH system owns and operates four other primary care critical access hospitals and commands a 70% market share. Corporate responsibilities included all Human Resources / Payroll functions plus several out-patient departments. Examples of accomplishments include: · The defined benefit pension plan was saved from insolvency directly through my actions to replace the plan advisor, change investment options, and lead an Investment Committee to make decisions based on fiduciary obligations. · Achieved tighter control of the Workers Compensation program by converting it from fully insured to self-insured realizing $500,000 in annual cost savings. · FGH acquired two primary care hospitals following successful Human Resources due diligence processes to: identify and eliminate any unknown benefit plan issues; compensation and/or employee obligations; documentation of all current policies; and integration of acquired employees. · Contributed to organizational cost savings by reducing employee primary care and prescription drug expenses by an average of $1,000,000 annually. · Ensured the hospital continued to remain accredited through three successful Joint Commission surveys. · Sustained balanced employment and employee satisfaction through effective recruiting and benefit improvements.

Parkview continues to be the premier health care provider in northeast Indiana and has added additional hospitals to its growing system. Corporate responsibilities included all Human Resources / Payroll functions including oversight of six satellite HR offices.
