Feb. 2020 - Jul. 2021As an assistant editor and coordinator I: • Assign ISCI’s and send to Extreme Reach daily
• Verify ISCI’s, slates, and deliverables for non-promo projects with client
• Create slates in Photoshop
• Send post schedule to finishing, liaise with finishing team to keep them up to date
• Keep google to-do checklist current (per show and at-a-glance)
• Prep/send projects to post for sound and color
• Make caption files for social spots (SRT and SCC files)
• Review/approve mixes with finishing team
• Layback mixes to final picture and deliver all final spots (15 deliveries on average per day)
• Ensure proper delivery specs of all final files
• Upload all spots to WireDrive
• Deliver all ProRes files to Extreme Reach and ensure they have been processed and passed QC
• Prep/send email to client with WireDrive links to all ProRes and viewing files plus social/digital and generic spots • Coordinate projects with editors, finishing team, and client from start to finish
• Ensure new editors are up to speed and have everything needed throughout the creative process
• Edit/deliver Affiliate Reads as needed via Wiredrive
• Supply b-roll/graphics/music/etc to editors via aspera and internal servers
• Deliver spots with audio splits when needed
• Edit/retrofit spots for 1x1 when needed
• Watch through episodes and create selects stringouts
• Check graphics and spelling on approval cuts going to client
• Archiving (ongoing)
• Edit and deliver spots for repeat shows
• Watch through and organize BTS from show for affiliates
• Create stock/b roll spreadsheets for editors on a regular basis
• Create/send weekly B roll reports to Business Affairs
• Maintain Google spreadsheet for B roll stock footage
• Submit invoices to PO system, send PO’s to accounting, ensure all b-roll vendors are paid on a regular basis
