Supplier Quality Engineer • Audit component suppliers on a worldwide basis to ensure compliance with specification. • Working with suppliers in order to gain validation for new processes. • Project contribution with companies that conducted special processes on various components supplied to Rolls-Royce. • Good knowledge of laboratory practice, in addition to enhancement of manufacturing and metallurgical skills. • Ensured the correct quality parts were delivered on time and in the right quantity. • Daily contact with company material specialists to ensure manufactured components were to the required specification. • Working with new and existing suppliers’ capabilities to meet product, cost and quality ensuring suppliers can meet requirements for PPAP, APQP, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and other applicable internal systems. • Regular visits to suppliers (UK and overseas) for issue resolution and maintenance of relationships. • Raise and manage Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR), ensuring level of detail and severity is applied, monitor supplier progress, and ensure SCAR closure is achieved in a timely manner. • Develop and apply work practices including FMEA, MSA, PPAP, 3D/8D
