Aug. 2021As a nurse educator, I have focused on nursing professional development, quality improvement, policy writing, process improvement, and using adult learning theory to develop, deliver, and evaluate education. Topics I have experience teaching include: nursing management of critical care patients, cardiovascular concepts applied to critical care, emergency, and progressive care areas, palliative care and it’s application within the nursing profession, and end of life care. I am a certified ELNEC trainer (2022) and Trauma Nursing Core Course instructor (2021). I proudly developed an organization-wide review process for clinical-facing projects with a small multi-specialty team. I have experience serving as a co-chair of the UNMH Nurse Practice Council (2022-2023) for which I was instrumental in developing the charter. I also served as the chair for the UNMH Adult Palliative Care Task Force (2020-2023). I have helped write multiple procedures, policies, and guidelines covering a variety of topics and applicable settings.
