The role involves producing four hours of live radio on a daily basis with a mixture of local news, breaking news, features and music. I find interesting and local news stories and features and book relevant and engaging guests to join us on air. I also write and script interviews. I also occasionally go out on interviews of my own and produce radio packages. As well as all this, I support our presenter in delivering the best show possible, including doing extensive research and ensuring that she is prepared for important hold to account moments.

Reach PLC launched the sites in July 2021. The role involves managing a small team of two reporters and a lifestyle writer, deploying them on jobs and advising them on treatments for stories. It involves editing copy, writing for SEO and ensuring all content has suitable furniture included. I also post these stories to social media and ensure that these channels are appealing to readers and engaging. The role also includes some reporting and writing of my own and running campaigns that span several weeks.
