Project involved qualitative research, concept generation, new component testing/qualification, and production tooling modification. Redesign saved $32 million over life of program. - Engineering POC for specialized cross-functional team tasked with identifying shortcomings in production line processes and designing and implementing changes. Performed data and tolerance analyses to identify pain points, determine process capability, and capture other key insights required to make product improvements. Provide producibility improvements and design support for composite parts. - Research and brainstorm new tools for use on the production line. Implementation of one tool has eliminated 15 hours of rework per unit, resulting in significant cost savings. Recognized by upper management for discovery and implementation of this tool. - Spearhead multiple affordability projects from concept to delivery through coordinating impacts across disciplines while maintaining cost & schedule.
