Oct. 2013Washington, DC and various global locationsAs trusted advisor and subject matter expert for organizational design and workforce planning activities across Service to Armed Forces (SAF) and International Services Division (ISD), my role is to lead the development of strategic action planning for performance and continuous improvement initiatives. I create workforce roadmaps to ensure alignment with overall strategy and shifting demands, develop post-action reports, and partner with stakeholders to determine gaps and create solutions. Presenting reports with recommendations to senior leadership, I then implement those approved plans with cross-functional teams. Identifying opportunities for process and procedural improvement, I assist with the implementation of change. As staff trainer, motivator, and mentor, I coordinate volunteer teams to meet projects and organizational objectives, orchestrate team discussions, and conduct interviews to clarify and document roles and responsibilities between teams and functions. I am also the inter-departmental point of contact who facilitates open lines of communication and a positive, inclusive workplace culture. • Through the alignment of iob descriptions standardizing roles across domestic and overseas Red Cross lines of service, I ensured consistent structure and language, streamlining internal roles and devising effective categories by business function. • I analyzed gaps and identified critical roles and capabilities; I also improved workload forecasting tools and strategies defining opportunities to better utilize volunteers and anticipate increased staffing needs • As program manager, I developed MOUs with DoD leadership, ensured execution of mission programs and monitored outcomes.
