Jan. 2015 - Jan. 2018In this senior leadership role, I led multi-faceted humanitarian aid initiatives as 24/7 on-call COO including the directing of a cross- functional team of 25 virtual, global volunteers. I oversaw the management of a $1 million donated funds budget including in-kind gifts. I identified and established numerous strategic partnerships aligned with goals and mission including a global NGO partner. Driving the acquisition and management of two receiving centers, I collected more than $700K in-kind donations. - I established five core programs, led the delivery of critical aid to refugee families in six countries throughout Europe and Middle East, created an inventory tracking system and needs bases assessments. - Navigating complex, international shipping logistics, I created innovative solutions to effectively distribute humanitarian aid equitably and with dignity. - I consistently analyzed the effectiveness of the change efforts to organizational structure, making recommendations for improved efficiencies. - By creating a unique system to vet, onboard, and train more than 300 volunteers, I prepared them for international travel to distribute aid packages to refugee camps. - I overcame roadblocks and challenges from the host country law enforcement, successfully negotiating access to refugee camps. - Identifying new opportunities, I initiated growth strategy planning of exploratory trips to expand global reach. - I increased team productivity and overcame obstacles through implementation of strategic change management tactics.

I create workforce roadmaps to ensure alignment with overall strategy and shifting demands, develop post-action reports, and partner with stakeholders to determine gaps and create solutions. Presenting reports with recommendations to senior leadership, I then implement those approved plans with cross-functional teams. Identifying opportunities for process and procedural improvement, I assist with the implementation of change. As staff trainer, motivator, and mentor, I coordinate volunteer teams to meet projects and organizational objectives, orchestrate team discussions, and conduct interviews to clarify and document roles and responsibilities between teams and functions. I am also the inter-departmental point of contact who facilitates open lines of communication and a positive, inclusive workplace culture. • Through the alignment of iob descriptions standardizing roles across domestic and overseas Red Cross lines of service, I ensured consistent structure and language, streamlining internal roles and devising effective categories by business function. • I analyzed gaps and identified critical roles and capabilities; I also improved workload forecasting tools and strategies defining opportunities to better utilize volunteers and anticipate increased staffing needs • As program manager, I developed MOUs with DoD leadership, ensured execution of mission programs and monitored outcomes.

I participate in the annual and quarterly mental health training and development initiatives and support families of those deployed in partnership with various base services. Leveraging strong communication and negotiation skills, I facilitate robust discussion on key topics of concern. Spearheading a unique informational leadership symposium, I delivered training, workshops, and seminars to more than 50 Air Force spouses from across the UK and am developing a similar program for Colorado and Wyoming.
