Jan. 2011InternationalArras: Making the Tapestry is multi-channel, multi-platform production with a goal of providing and highlighting examples of women who have faced adversity in their life and instead of taking a step back from it, have chosen to make it a mission to do something bigger than themselves. Inspire. Connect. Educate. Empower.
But what can one do after a march, a run, a walk, a gala that can put things into action? There are so many stories of amazing women that can be a prime leadership example of how to face adversity, overcome it and use it as fuel for personal growth and community change. People learn "how" from examples. People get inspired by stories. People will act if we remove barriers to make participation and purpose as easy as possible. We know this because our beliefs stem for the story of one key woman, Kelly Hager, and grow from there exponentially. Arras: Making the Tapestry is working with a production company, Rhino Hyde Productions, led by Sarah Guildalian. Production has started. We are having discussions with distribution outlets currently. It is our goal to retain the intellectual property. The channels that are and will be secured are: Digital, Television, Podcasts, Social Media, Huffington Post Blog, Women’s Resource/Mentoring Online Community Network, and speaking events that include the women’s stories we are sharing and additional topics for engagement in business and communities. There will also be books developed based on the women’s stories. In addition, a foundation will be set up to issue grants to help build businesses, humanitarian efforts, leadership efforts for women etc. Our target market of women, aged 25-65, is prime for the messaging, motivation and action items to make a difference. Arras: Making The Tapestry, is looking to activate the concerned, engaged females from the US and around the globe into a positive force for good.
