Oct. 2009 - Sep. 2010The Double Bunking project consists of 4 different sites nationwide (over $100,000,000):
1- Otago Corrections Facility
2- Spring Hill Corrections Facility
3- Auckland Region Women's Corrections Facility
4- Northland Corrections Facility. This project is unique with different challenges and constraints (desiging while building and performing all construction activities within an operational prison). The Department of Corrections has appointed Victoria University to conduct a case sudy about this project which summarized and highlighted its success factors. The Double Bunking project has been set as a reference for all future projects within the Department. My role is to assist the Project Director in the overall management and construction scheduling services, below are some key activities:
1- Establishment and implementation of the Project Plan.
2- Liaise with key stakeholders for each site
3- Design management and liaising/establishing common grounds between different openion/resolutionss of key stakholders.
4- Issues and Risk Management
5- Reporting on project status.
6- Oversee the construction progress in relation to the programme.
