We experiment with herbs, berries, vegetables, flowers and other things we can find from our 400 acre land to create liqueurs, tinctures, syrups, cordials and even garnishes to use for our seasonal cocktail menu.We are a sustainable hotel and use the biodynamic farming method. We try to reduce our wastage and carbon footprint as much as possible and we make sure that any waste can be reused to make another product. Whether it’s to be used as a compost from vegetable peels or using citrus pulps that’s already been juiced to make cordials. As a bar supervisor, I have learned how to manage the team, inventory and order supplies. I have also learned how to train new bartenders, servers, and other staff members, as well as how to schedule staff and delegate tasks to ensure smooth operations.
Handling customer complaints and feedback is another important skill I have learned, along with resolving issues in a professional manner. Making drinks, upselling, and maintaining a clean and organized bar are also part of my repertoire.
In addition, I have gained experience in handling cash and credit transactions, and promoting special events and drink specials to attract customers and boost sales. Providing excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for customers is another area of expertise that I have developed as a bar supervisor.
I also contribute in making social media content for our bar. Whether taking pictures of our new cocktails in in the bar or creating one off special menus and promoting it across social media. I'm also in charge in creating our rota and managing the team under me. Whether it's training for a new product that just arrived, making sure that they know how to sell it to our guests or training for a new cocktail recipe that will be on the menu.
