Jan. 2007 - Dec. 2007Mundelein, IllinoisWhen I was originally asked to join the Post Acute National Accounts team, they were not quite sure what the job specifics were; they just knew they needed help and support. So, as the department's first analyst, I defined the role. Using my Medline colleagues as contacts, I asked many questions of what was needed and I learned along the way. I created the operating procedures in place today and finally defined what an analyst in this department had responsibility for. Since I was assigned to two Sales VPs, I gained valuable knowledge in communication, setting expectations, and business acumen. With the assistance of the Analyst role, the Sales VPs were able to successfully meet (and exceed) their goals, thus growth ensued. As a result of this continued success, personally and for the department, I was promoted to managing the department's operations.
